September 2017

Is there anything more glorious than the start of fall in the foothills? We get to enjoy the bounty and abundance in our gardens, watch the leaves change, and delight in the cooler evening temperatures. Heaven! Here at Sundance we are so grateful for you, our valued customers, for supporting us this season as we all joined together in our new combined location.

We truly value your feedback and enthusiasm.

Linda’s Garden Center Tip

I get asked daily if it is still an ok time to plant. The answer is a resounding YES!! Plants are developing more roots than foliage or flowers during this time of year..plus plants are on sale!!! So grab a shovel (or, more likely, a pick ax) and start planting!!

September is time to start planting fall bulbs. Remember, when you plant fall bulbs you are planting hope for the coming spring. Sundance carries primarily deer/elk resistant bulbs, such as daffodils (in many shades of color), four different kinds of allium, snowdrops, pushkina, glory of the snow, and grape hyacinth. We also have garlic, saffron crocus, fall blooming crocus, and paper whites (for indoor forcing).

Plant some pansies for fall color. They love cooler temps. and don’t mind any snow that may fall.
