Yes, snow in May. Yes, we need the moisture. Lucky you if you put down wildflower seed. Meanwhile, we know the perfect, warm, spring days are right around the corner! And we can do a lot to get ready for them. Hardscaping, prepping pots, and cleaning and sharpening tools are a few tasks we can accomplish now. Let us know how we may help you get ready!

Linda’s Garden Center Tip
What’s not to like about the lovely month of May? Sure, we’ll get another snow or two, but isn’t it grand seeing leaves on trees? May is a terrific time to plant trees and shrubs.
Aspen are fast growing native trees known for their round green leaves that flutter and quake in the slightest breeze. Also for their brilliant fall color. Sundance collects native grown aspen and has hundreds to choose from.
Lilacs are hardy flowering shrubs that do well in our mountain elevation. They make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts. The Chinese lilac is an exceptionally deer/elk resistant variety.
Don’t put off sowing wildflower seed.
Remember not to plant annual flowers till after Memorial Day…practice patience with your impatiens!!
